The President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku was in the Central Region over the weekend and commissioned one of the many borehole projects his administration is undertaking.
On Saturday, June 11, the Ghana FA boss commissioned a borehole at the Assasan Park at Ajumako in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District.
He did the commissioning while on a working visit to the Central Region that began at Swedru.
During his working visit, the GFA president was in the company of the Central Regional Football Chairman Robert Duncan and Greater Accra Regional Football Association Chairman Samuel Aboabire.
The newly-commissioned borehole at the Ajuamko Assasan Park is just one of the many boreholes completed by the Kurt Okraku administration.
It will be used by Division One League side Soccer Intellectuals and Women’s Premier League side Soccer Intellectuals Ladies.
Also, some teams that use the venue in Regional Two and Juvenile in the Central Region will benefit from the borehole.
The borehole projects being undertaken by the GFA are being fully funded by proceeds from the FIFA Forward 1.0.
