As they get ready to compete in their first-ever CAF Champions League, ex-Medeama midfielder Joseph Tetteh Zutah has advised the players to be self-motivated for the start of their African journey.

On Sunday, August 20, the Mauve and Yellow will make their debut at the Cape Coast Stadium against Nigeria's Remo Stars, who are also making their debuts in the biggest club competition in Africa.

The 28-year-old Zutah, who led the team for six seasons, spoke with Radio Gold Sports, urging his former teammates to take up the opportunity to market themselves.

“I have been a player before and i have played this competition before and the mere fact that you are playing motivates you to give out your best.

“Because it is out there that you can sell yourself well if you want to move out of the shore of Ghana and test waters outside.

“That is the platform that gives you that mileage so from the players’ point of view, I believe they are well psyched and they don’t even have to wait any promise before they do the job, I believe they will do that.”
