CAF has appointed match officials to handle the Champions League game between Egyptian giants Al Ahly and Medeama SC.

The top clash is scheduled to be played in Cairo on Saturday, November 25.

Ahead of the game, CAF has appointed Mali referee Boubou Traore to officiate the game as the centre referee.

“Boubou Traore from Mali will be the referee for the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League Group D fixture between record holders and Egyptian giants Al Ahly and Ghana’s Medeama SC.

“Traore, 34, will be assisted by Modibo Samake (Assistant I), Amadou Belly Guisse Amadou (Assistant II) and Sory Ibrahima Keita Sory (Fourth Official) while Gamal Salem Embaia from Libya works as the Match Commissioner,” a communique from the Ghana FA said on Tuesday.

It continued, “Yahya Hadqa from Morocco is the Referee Assessor, Wafae Bekkouch from Morocco is the General Coordinator while Husham Mohamed Ahmed Elamin from Sudan is the Security Officer.”

Ghanaian champions Medeama SC are hoping to upset Al Ahly when the game is played.
