Bofoakwa Tano head coach, Frimpong Manso has expressed his excitement after picking up a point against Great Olympics.

In their matchday 1 game, the Premier League returnees were hosted by the two-time champions at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday.

However, after 90 minutes of action, the game ended goalless.

Speaking after the game, the former Ghana international lauded his side after fighting to secure a point from away.

“I think it’s a good result, especially coming to Accra to play Great Olympics," he told StarTimes.

“What initially we tried to do is not to concede, so we were very sure if we don’t win at least we don’t have to concede.

“I think it falls within our expectation so for me I think it’s a good result for us.

“The danger is when you are creating the chances and you don’t score and own of such comes to you.

“I think we tried to protect [ourselves] meanwhile we had some decent chances which we thought we could have taken but this is football.

“For a start, I think it’s ok, we cannot get everything right so we will go and then try to get a correction from the mistakes we made," he added.

Bofoakwa Tano will host Real Tamale United in the matchday 2 games on Sunday.
