Tom Vernon, the founder of Right to Dream Academy, has showered praise on Black Stars new boy Francis Abu following an impressive debut during the March international break.

Abu, who plies his trade for Belgium club Cercle Brugge earned a place in the Black Stars squad for the international break and made a good account of himself against Uganda.

After missing the Nigeria clash, Otto Addo handed the Right to Dream Academy graduate his first Black Stars in the 2-2 draw against the Cranes of Uganda last Tuesday.

Abu showcased his talent in midfield before he was subbed off in the second half of the game.

However, Tom Vernon, who introduced the midfielder has expressed satisfaction with the performance of the player in his first Black Stars appearance.

"Our latest Right to Dream Black Star Abu Francis had a very impressive debut. Extremely happy for him."

Following his promising debut, Francis Abu is expected to continue representing Ghana in the upcoming June international break. The Black Stars are scheduled to face Mali and Central African Republic in qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Abu's inclusion in the squad underscores the continued impact of Right to Dream Academy in nurturing and developing talented footballers for both domestic and international competitions.
