The Black Starlets of Ghana will take part in a UEFA U16 tournament in Russia next month.
The tournament will help the Black Starlets prepare for the next upcoming WAFU B U17 tournament.
The UEFA U16 tournament will take place in Russia in late April.
“The preparation for the next Black Starlets team will receive another boast as they represent Ghana in an UEFA U16 four nation tournament scheduled to take place in Volgograd, Russia.
“This youth development tournament is as a result of the Ghana Football Association’s partnership with UEFA and CAF.
“The UEFA U16 four-nation tournament will take place from April 23-29, 2024 in Volgograd, Russia,” a communique from the Ghana Football Association (GFA) said on Tuesday, March 26.
According to the Ghana FA, developing talents at the youth level is paramount to the association.
It said the tournament in Russia will offer the players an opportunity to showcase their talents, build further teamwork, and experience the thrill of competition.
At the tournament, the Black Starlets will compete with the youth national teams of Russia, Serbia, as well as Kazakhstan.
Meanwhile, the Black Starlets are currently at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence, preparing for the tournament and the WAFU U17 CAF qualifying competition.
The tournament will help the Black Starlets prepare for the next upcoming WAFU B U17 tournament.
