Ghana's U-20 women's football team, the Black Princesses, will begin preparations for the upcoming WAFU Zone B Women's U-20 Cup of Nations in May with a 34-player squad.
The players are expected to report to the Ghanaman Centre of Excellence in Prampram on Sunday, April 2.
The Princesses have not played any competitive football since October 2022 when they featured in the FIFA Women's U-20 World Cup in Costa Rica.
Coach Yussif Basigi is expected to assemble a strong team to compete against Nigeria, Niger, Benin, Ivory Coast, Togo, and Burkina Faso.
This will be the first edition of the WAFU Zone B Women's U-20 Cup of Nations and it will take place in Kumasi from May 20 to June 4, 2023.
The tournament will feature eight teams and promises to be an exciting spectacle for fans of women's football in the sub-region.
