Crystal Palace striker, Jordan Ayew says he feels privileged to be part of the Ayew family but he is never under pressure to over-achieve more than his father and brothers.

Jordan's father, Abedi Pele, is among the greatest African players of all time and was a Champions League winner with Olympique Marseille in 1993.

Pele also won the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) with the Black Stars and also won the African Best Player Award.

His brother, André Ayew is a U-20 World Cup winner with Ghana's Black Satellites with over 100 appearances for the Black Stars while Ibrahim Ayew also achieved laurels with his clubs.

“I never thought of needing to be better than members of my family," he told the club website. "I don’t think that’s the right mentality to have. I see it in a different way, where it’s a positive thing: I’m lucky to be part of a family like this.

“The pressure will always be there. It will never end, so you just need to live with it. You just need to enjoy it, because life is short. I’m lucky," the 30-year-old added.

Jordan Ayew has made 92 appearances for Ghana since making his debut in 2010 with 20 goals to his credit.
