Former Asante Kotoko defender Gabriel Opoku Ware has advised the players to play aggressively in the Ghana Premier League.
Kotoko were held by the Kpando-based club in their opening game of the 2023-24 Ghana Premier League season at the Baba Yara Stadium last Sunday.
Opoku Ware, who was impressed with the team’s cohesion has entreated the players to be aggressive in their play in the ongoing campaign.
“I will advise the team to be aggressive in their play so they can win the 50/50 balls during games and I think that will help the team to performance” he stated.
He has also urged the attackers to be clinical in the final third in order to succeed this season.
“Kotoko needs a goal poacher, and goal poacher doesn’t mean they should go in for a new striker. I was impressed with the attackers in Heart of Lions draw. Their movement was perfect but they need to be sharp in the final third. Generally, I was happy with the team’s cohesion”
