Bayer Leverkusen will face a setback in their upcoming match against VfL Wolfsburg as their dynamic right-back, Jeremie Frimpong, is set to miss out due to suspension.

The Dutch-born Ghanaian talent, aged 23, received his fifth yellow card of the season during the intense encounter against FC Köln. The pivotal moment occurred in the 23rd minute of the game when Frimpong committed a foul on Julian Chabot.

The game at the RheinEnergieStadion ended 2-0 in favour of the league leaders.

Jeremie Frimpong opened the scoring in the 37th minute with a close-range shot. Álex Grimaldo sealed the victory for Leverkusen in the 73rd minute, slotting home a well-placed shot assisted by Amine Adli.

Frimpong's absence will be felt keenly by Leverkusen, as he has been an instrumental figure in their defensive setup throughout the season. Known for his speed, agility, and attacking prowess down the flanks, Frimpong's contributions have often been vital in both defensive solidity and offensive threat.

Jeremie Frimpong has made 22 appearances, scored eight goals, and assisted six goals in the Bundesliga this season.
