German-born Ghanaian midfielder Anton Donkor scored in Eintracht Braunschweig's 2-1 win against SV Sandhausen on Sunday afternoon.

It was a nervous start for the home side at the Eintracht-Stadion. SVS defender Alexander Zhirov cleared Lion Lauberbach's attempt at goal in the 4th minute.

After a misunderstanding between Anton Donkor and Saulo Decarli, the ball bounced in Braunschweig's area to Kemal Ademi, who was completely free.

In the 20th minute, the home side appeared again in front of the goal, with a double chance after a corner, Jannis Nikolaou was first denied by Patrick Drewes, who made a good save, before Saulo Decarli hit the ball again and found Anthony Ujah in the centre. The Nigerian's header only landed on the goal roof.

Saulo Decarli opened the scoring for Eintracht Braunschweig in the 82nd minute. The away side equalized in the 88th minute through Aleksandr Zhirov.

Anton Donkor scored the winning goal for Eintracht Braunschweig in the 89th minute.

The 25-year-old has made 30 appearances, scored three goals, and assisted one in the league this season.
