Winger Ansgar Knauff is set to make his loan stay at Eintracht Frankfurt permanent.

The winger who is on loan from Borussia Dortmund and sports director Markus Krosche have now agreed on a long-term contract until 2028 according to Bild.

The Bundesliga club, known for nurturing emerging stars, has recognized Knauff's exceptional potential and is eager to secure his services for the foreseeable future.

The agreement with BVB, where Knauff still has a working document until 2024, is still pending a final change this summer. However, it doesn't appear like there is much lacking either. The teams are allegedly getting closer in their discussions and an agreement worth between five and 10 million euros.

On 20 January 2022, Knauff joined Eintracht Frankfurt on an eighteen-month loan deal. Knauff scored his first goal for Eintracht on 5 March in a 4–1 victory against Hertha BSC.

This season the 21-year-old has played 24 games, scored one goal and assisted one.
