Heading into the 2023/24 football season, Ajax wants to keep Ghana star Mohammed Kudus.
The forward has been a transfer target of a number of clubs since last summer’s transfer window.
While his club admits a move is likely this summer, the club also admits the decision to allow the player to move won’t be easy.
According to Sven Mislintat who is the Director of Sports at Ajax, selling Mohammed Kudus this summer is difficult because the club will struggle to find a good replacement.
"We've very open and good discussions with both players and their agents with a clear wish in terms of timeline. We need time to get good replacements.
"Although the best thing for Ajax would be that Kudus and [Edson] Alvarez stay," Sven Mislintat told Mike Verweij.
The latest report indicates that Chelsea and Manchester United are working to secure the services of Mohammed Kudus this summer before the start of the new football season.
