Executive Council Member of the Ghana Football Association, Dr Randy Abbey, is hopeful the goal against Madagascar will motivate Inaki Williams for the game versus Comoros.
The Black Stars will play away to Comoros in their second Group I qualifier on Tuesday, November 21 at the Moroni Stadium with kickoff at 4 pm.
The Athletic Club man scored a 95th minute winner for the Black Stars in their first 2026 World Cup qualifier against Madagascar at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Friday evening.
The 29-year-old had gone 11 games without scoring for Ghana, with conversations being had about the possibility of relegating him to the bench.

Speaking to Citi Sports after the game, Dr. Randy Abbey, the President of Heart of Lions, expressed his belief that Williams' goal would boost his confidence and serve as motivation for the upcoming match against Comoros.
“It’s a happy Inaki Williams day. The goal is good for his confidence, I hope it motivates him for the next game,” Abbey said.
