Athletico de Abidjan has been placed in Group B of the 2023 WAFU B Women's Champions League qualifiers , alongside Ghana's Ampem Darkoa Ladies and Amis Du Monde from Togo.

The announcement comes after a mini draw held on Friday in Benin City, in light of the withdrawal of AS Garde Nationale from Niger.

Originally scheduled to commence on Friday, August 18, the kickoff date for the competition has been rescheduled to Sunday, August 20, 2023.

This adjustment allows the participating teams to adequately prepare and ensure the smooth execution of the qualifiers.

Group B now consists of Athletico de Abidjan, Ghanaian champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies, and Amis Du Monde from Togo.

In Group A, Delta Queens from Nigeria, USFA from Burkina Faso, and Sam Nelly FC from the Benin Republic will face off, forming another compelling bracket within the tournament.

The victorious team emerging from the WAFU B Women's Champions League qualifiers will earn the opportunity to represent the sub-region in the forthcoming third edition of the CAF Women's Champions League.
