2023 WAFU B U20 Girls Cup: Niger's Zouwaira Sani to take charge of Ghana vs Benin game

Highly respected Nigerien referee, Zouwaira Souley Sani, has been selected as the center referee for the eagerly anticipated opening match of the 2023 WAFU B U20 Girls Cup of Nations.

The clash between Ghana and Benin, scheduled for this Saturday, will mark the beginning of the tournament. The match will take place at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, with kick-off slated for 15:00 hrs on May 20, 2023.

Zouwaira Souley Sani will receive support from her compatriot, Sakina Hamidou Alfa, who will serve as Assistant I.

Adding to the distinguished team, Ami Kouma from Burkina Faso will take on the role of Assistant II, while Jacqueline Nikiema, also from Burkina Faso, has been appointed as the fourth official.

Zouwaira Souley Sani's impressive background includes officiating women's international matches in renowned tournaments like WAFU A and B in Cote d'Ivoire during 2022.

Furthermore, she showcased her talent at the 2019 All African Games held in Morocco. In 2019, she also gained valuable experience through internship programs conducted in Egypt, Gabon, and Morocco.

Augustina Fugah will assume the role of Referee Assessor, Prince Pambo will provide medical expertise as the Doctor. Julius Ben Emunah has been entrusted with maintaining the security of the event as the Security Officer.
