In a startling revelation, experienced football administrator Jonathan Abbey Pobee has declared the 2023 GFA Elective Congress as anything but a genuine election.

Pobee, known for his extensive experience in the footballing world, raised serious concerns about the transparency and integrity of the recently concluded congress, casting a shadow over the process that was meant to usher in a new era for the Ghana Football Association.

The 2023 GFA Elective Congress was held in Tamale on Thursday, October 5th, 2023. The was supervised and monitored by FIFA, CAF, and WAFU.

Kurt Okraku continued to serve as the GFA President as he faced no opposition.

"I will term it as a back door election, this is not a genuine election," he told Selorm Adonoo on Citi FM’s Eye Witness News

"When President Obama came to this country, he said we should allow our institutions to work, what do we see now?

"I think we have forgotten that, this same incident happened to Nyantakyi some time ago, went to the same Tamale and what happened to him, later he was ousted by FIFA.

"So they must think twice, what happened in Tamale was a very bad thing to do, it looks as if there are no laws in this country," he ended.
