In anticipation of the highly awaited 2023 African Games, the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) is set to host a distinguished press soiree at its secretariat in Abelenkpe.
This exclusive event, scheduled for today, the 15th of December, will commence at 5:30 pm and will be held at the LOC's secretariat.
This pivotal gathering marks the initiation of the 100-day countdown to the grand spectacle, promising to bring together the best of African talent in a celebration of sportsmanship and unity. The LOC, under the leadership of Dr. Kwaku Ofosu-Asare, is poised to unveil key details and insights into the Games' preparations during the press soiree.
"When we started this work we started with the press all the challenges we encountered they were with us now all the obstacles have been removed we have a clear path we recently initiated a 100 days countdown we did that with the press," Dr. Ofosu-Asare told Peace FM as monitored by Footballghana.com
"Today the purpose is to meet them and engage them the press play a very important role in the work that we are doing.
"This work is for the country it is a project for the country the press have a role to play so today we are will meet, discuss and see the way forward the places the things that we have done wrong how we can get it right so that is why we are meeting them,"
