Former Black Stars captain John Mensah believes no team can be underestimated after the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations group stage draw in Côte d'Ivoire.
Ghana has been paired in Group B alongside record champions Egypt, Cape Verde and Mozambique.
Mensah believes football is unpredictable, and the Black Stars are capable of doing anything at next year’s tournament.
"It's still early days, times change, anything can happen in football these days, you underestimate any team at your own peril," he told Egyptian website Filgoal.com during an interview.
"Ghana has a promising, youthful team, and I believe they have what it takes to compete in the tournament."
By the time the 2023 AFCON is held in Côte d'Ivoire, it would be 42 years since Ghana last won the title. The Black Stars last won the tournament in 1982.
Ghana will kick off their campaign on January 14, 2024, against Cape Verde, followed by matches against Egypt and Mozambique.
