Ghana defender Alexander Djiku has called on his teammates to create more chances and score in their next games at the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Black Stars suffered an opening game defeat against the Blue Sharks in Abidjan on Sunday night with Gary Rodrigues coming from the bench to score a late winner.
Chris Hughton's men were far from their very best on the night with Cape Verde taking advantage of Ghana's sloppiness throughout the game.
The players’ commitment and determination were questioned by Ghanaians throughout the game as it has been the case for the past few years now.
Speaking after the game, Djiku, who scored Ghana's goal in the 2-1 loss questioned the team's attitude.
"We need to do more. We need to be more aggressive. We need to create more chances and we have to score also," Djiku told the media.
The task has now become difficult as many see the game against Egypt as impossible to win.
That game against the Pharaohs is scheduled for Thursday.
