Ghana defender says the Black Stars need to be more aggressive as a group in their pressing after the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations opening match humiliation against Cape Verde.
The Black Stars suffered an opening game defeat against the Blue Sharks in Abidjan on Sunday night with Gary Rodrigues coming from the bench to score a late winner.
Chris Hughton's men were far from their very best on the night with Cape Verde taking advantage of Ghana's sloppiness throughout the game.
The players’ commitment and determination were questioned by Ghanaians throughout the game as has been the case for the past few years now.
Speaking after the game, Odoi questioned the team's attitude.
"In the first half, the lines were too far apart. They could always find the guy in between the lines," he said.
"We need to be more aggressive in our press as a group, as a whole and further away from our goal."
The task has now become difficult as many see the game against Egypt as impossible to win.
That game against the Pharaohs is scheduled for Thursday.
