Ghana coach, Chris Hughton says they will reflect on their mistakes against Cape Verde and do well against Egypt.
The Black Stars opened their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) campaign with a 2-1 defeat against the Blue Sharks with Alexander Djiku scoring the consolation.
With the four-time African champions set to take on the record champions on Thursday, January 18 at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan, the 64-year-old said they must do well by recording the three points.
According to him, the Black Stars did not start well against Cape Verde but said they must do well against the Pharaohs.
“We didn’t start well,” Ghana coach Chris Hughton explained. “They scored an incredible goal but we got ourselves back into the game.
"With the way the game was going, I thought it was going to be a draw but they had more attacking quality and got the win in the end. I mean with the Egypt result, anything can happen now.
"We got to reflect on our mistakes and we need to do better," he added.
The game which will be staged at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan has been scheduled to kick off at 20:00GMT.
