Black Stars forward Jordan Ayew has admitted that the players put themselves in such situation at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations by losing to Cape Verde in their first game.
The 32-year-old has been very brutal with his assessments of the team, urging them to take reasonable.
Speaking ahead of the big clash, Jordan Ayew pledged the team will give off their best to secure a positive result against the Pharaohs.
“Tomorrow is going to be a tough game. The boys are ready. We’ve put ourselves in this situation and we need to come out of this.
“You never know in football; tomorrow we are ready and we will do our best, we will fight and represent Ghana as well as we can, put in a better performance as a team, and hopefully tomorrow everyone will be happy.”
Egypt as well needed a late Mohamed Salah penalty to hold Mozambique to a 2-2 draw in their opening match too.
That leaves Group B open, with the record winners and Mozambique having one point each behind Cape Verde while Ghana are bottom of the group.
