However, the spotlight fell on crucial mistakes made by key players, prompting coach Chris Hughton to emphasize the importance of minimizing errors in big games.
Thursday evening witnessed a rollercoaster of emotions as Ghana battled Egypt on the field. The intensity reached its peak when Inaki Williams committed a pivotal mistake, allowing Omar Marmoush to capitalize and score in the 69th minute.
The drama unfolded further when substitute Osman Bukari, stepping into the game, made an unfortunate error that paved the way for Mostafa Mohamed to secure a goal in the 70th minute.

"Sometimes teams can make a lot of mistakes and the opposition doesn't capitalise on them. Unfortunately, through the mistakes we made today, the opposition was able to capitalise on them.
"But we have to accept [it's] part of the game. You have to try to limit the amount of errors or mistakes that you make. And of course, the team that limits it the most is a team that has a better chance of winning,"
Ghana will now turn its attention to the must-win game against Mozambique which will be played on Monday 22nd January 2024. The game will kick off at 20:00 GMT.2023
