Ghana head coach Chris Hughton has reacted to the 2-2 draw with Ehpyt in Group B at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan.
Despite the shared scoreline, Coach Hughton expressed his satisfaction, highlighting the joy he felt knowing that the passionate supporters had witnessed a commendable performance from his squad after the defeat to Cape Verde in the first game.
"Our message is we understand everything our supporters are going through when they see performances they feel are not good enough performances they feel it this we understand we feel it the same way," he said after the game.
"I am happy today they saw a performance from the team even though it is not the result what we want what they want I think they can be happy with the performance.
"What we now need to do is put in this same type of performance in the next game and this will give us an opportunity to go through,"
Ghana will now turn its attention to the must-win game against Mozambique which will be played on Monday 22nd January 2024. The game will kick off at 20:00 GMT.
