The head coach of Mozambique Chiquinho Conde believes Ghana’s Black Stars are frustrated because they have not won a match at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations match.
Both teams are winless and will face off in their final group match at the Olympic Stadium of Ebimpe at 8 pm GMT, with everything at stake for all teams who have one point each.
Speaking ahead of the game, Conde says his team will give everything to kick Ghana out of the tournament.
“We will play at 200% to win this match,” he said at the pre-match presser.
“We know Ghana hasn’t won a match and understandably are somehow frustrated and don’t have a peace of mind even though they have some quality.
“They play with the motivation of the fans also. We will try to provoke them and approach the match as a final.”
Ghana opened its campaign with a 2-1 defeat to Cape Verde after conceding a poor goal in stoppage time from a Mohammed Salisu mistake.
Against Egypt in Ghana’s second game, two mistakes gifted the record winners equalisers between Mohammed Kudus's fantastic goals, with the game ending 2-2.
The Black Stars are third in Group B with one point from two games and must win against Mozambique to progress to the round of 16.
