2023 Africa Cup of Nations Full Draw: Ghana gets Egypt in Group B, Senegal in Group C, Nigeria haunts Ivory Coast in Group A

The official draw for the 34th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations tournament was held on Thursday, October 12.

At the end of the draw in Abidjan, the host nation Ivory Coast will face off with Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea, and Guinea-Bissau in Group A.

The draw ended with defending Champions Senegal being pitted in Group C where they will face off with the likes of Cameroon, Guinea, and The Gambia.

Four-time Champions, Ghana will battle it out with record-holders Egypt in Group A.

In that group, the Black Stars will also face Cape Verde and Mozambique.

Meanwhile, the opening match of the 2023 AFCON is scheduled to be played on January 13 between Ivory Coast and Guinea-Bissau.

For CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe, the 2023 AFCON has the making of the best ever AFCON to be staged on the continent.

Speaking at the draw on Thursday, the South African wished all 24 countries the best ahead of the tournament.
