2023 Africa Cup of Nations: Fit-again Baba Rahman included in Chris Hughton’s provisional squad

Defender Baba Rahman has made a return to Black Stars ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Ghana head coach, Chris Hughton has announced his 55-man provisional squad for the tournament slated to be hosted in Ivory Coast next year.

The former Chelsea defender who last played for the Black Stars against the Central African Republic in the final game of the AFCON qualifiers at the Baba Yara Stadium has returned to Ghana's provisional squad.

The POAK defender will hope to make the final squad that will be announced on January 3. Rahman has so far made a total appearance of nine for the Greek side.

Ghana have been housed in Group B alongside Egypt, Cape Verde and Mozambique.



The Black Stars of Ghana will first come up against Cape Verde at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan on January 14, 2024, then face Egypt at the same venue four days later and then Mozambique at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium on January 22, 2024.
