Ghana legend Dan Owusu has cited inconsistency in player call up and lack of commitment on the part of players for the Black Stars uninspiring performance in recent times.
The West Africa powerhouse succumbed to a 2-1 defeat to Cape Verde, courtesy goals from Jamiro Monteiro and Garry Rodrigues.
Speaking to Koforidua-based Bryt FM, the three-time Ghana Premier League goal king blamed lack of commitment on the part of the players and inconsistency in player call up for the Black Stars struggle in recent times.
“The players are not committed at all. I watched the game carefully and realized there was no urgency in their play. Again, I see lack of consistency in the team. We’ve been changing our squad day-in-day-out which is not helping the team. We need to get a consistent team like it used to be in previous years. Truth be told, Cape Verde dominated the game in all aspect.” he said.
The Black Stars now find themselves in a challenging position in Group following the defeat. They are currently bottom on the table without a point.
