As the Round of 16 concluded on Tuesday night, the quarter-finals lineup for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament has been finalized.
The upcoming last eight matches are scheduled to kick off on Friday, February 2, following a brief two-day break.
Notable upsets in the Round of 16 included the early exit of defending champions Senegal and perennial winners Egypt, who were eliminated by DR Congo.
The Atlas Lions of Morocco also faced an unexpected departure, succumbing to a 2-0 defeat against South Africa's Bafana Bafana.
