Former Ghana captain John Mensah says the Black Stars have what it takes to be competitive at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d'Ivoire.
He is saying this after the group draw was conducted on Thursday in Abidjan.
Ghana has been paired in Group B alongside record champions Egypt, Cape Verde and Mozambique.
Mensah believes football is unpredictable, and the Black Stars are capable of doing anything at next year’s tournament.
He also added that no team should be underestimated in the group, saying you do so at your own danger.
"It's still early days, times change, anything can happen in football these days, you underestimate any team at your own peril," he told Egyptian website Filgoal.com during an interview.
"Ghana has a promising, youthful team, and I believe they have what it takes to compete in the tournament."
Ghana will kick off their campaign on January 14, 2024, against Cape Verde, followed by matches against Egypt and Mozambique.
