Ghana's star striker, Inaki Williams, touched down in Ivory Coast for the 2023 Afcon, marking the beginning of a unique and exciting journey.
The arrival of the Ghanaian team was nothing short of a spectacle, as they emerged from the aircraft clad in traditional kente, a vibrant display of their rich cultural heritage.
As the players disembarked, they were greeted by the wonderful dance of a traditional cultural group, creating an atmosphere of jubilation and unity at the Ivory Coast airport.
Inaki Williams took to his official X page to tweet: "Hello Ivory Coast. We're already here. ????#AFCON2023"
The tournament is scheduled to kick off on Saturday, January 13 through to February 11, 2024.
The four-time African champions ended their training camp in Kumasi on Tuesday and are embarking on a trip this morning to Ivory Coast, where the AFCON 2023 will be played.
President Nana Akufo-Addo has charged the team to go to Ivory Coast and deliver the best performance to end the country's 42-year wait for a fifth title.
The Black Stars will open their account against Cape Verde on Sunday, January 14, 2024 before taking on Egypt and Mozambique on January 18 and 22 respectively in Group B.
