Former Ghana international striker Yaw Preko has offered insightful counsel to the Black Stars as they brace themselves for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon).

According to Yaw Preko, Ghana finds itself in a unique position, far from the favorites' spotlight and currently not showcasing the best of its capabilities on the field. Preko advocates for a pragmatic approach, a strategy that involves taking the competition one game at a time.
"Ghana should lie low when you go into a tournament as an underdog sometimes it helps everybody knows that Black Stars is struggling we are not the same Black Stars," he told Peace FM as monitored by Footballghana.com
"Because when you go to a tournament countries like Egypt, Morocco, Nigeria, Algeria, Senegal we know that now they are ahead of us but it is a tournament anything can happen in a tournament you just have to make sure you take it game after game," he added.
