Ghana Premier League champions Medeama Sporting Club have paid a courtesy call on the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at the Manhyia Palace on Wednesday.
This is part of the Yellow and Mauves’ build up to their 2023/24 CAF Champions League game against Algerian side CR Belouizdad.
The game is set to be played on Friday even at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in their second Group D game in their first ever campaign in Africa’s premiere club competition.
“Medeama SC is honored to extend a courtesy visit to Manhyia Palace, paying respects to the esteemed Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. This visit precedes our crucial CAF competitions this Friday at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi,” the club posted on social media.
Medeama suffered a humbling 3-o defeat in their first group game against Al Ahly in their first game in the CAF Champions League.
The club’s defensive resilience in the first half was breached after 65 minutes where the first goal was scored.
