Artiste manager, Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson known as Bulldog has taken a swipe at Ghana legend Asamoah Gyan over the latter claims that Ghanaians want a revenge against Uruguay at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Gyan, who is the all-time top scorer in an interview with BBC said Ghanaians are aiming to revenge Uruguay at the mundial after failing to reach the semi-final of the World Cup in 2010.

During the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, the Black Stars of Ghana almost advanced to the semi-final if not for the fact that a ball which was already in the net was removed from the net by Suarez with his hands in the last-minute part of the game.

Unfortunately, the penalty which was awarded to Ghana was missed by Asamoah Gyan, which later led to the defeat after a penalty shootout.

Bulldog reacting to Gyan’s comment said Ghanaians have not asked for a revenge against Uruguay.

“What is the revenge about? Do you think Ghanaians want revenge? Are you the one seeking revenge or Ghanaians? Have we told you we need revenge? When did we speak to you about revenge? Why is he saying that?” he quizzes

He adds “when you’re a legend, you’d want to correct some errors before you retire; that is what he wants to do. Honestly, he did well for Ghana but that penalty he missed has become a dent.”

Though Bulldog never disputes the fact that Asamoah Gyan can play in the tournament, he emphasized that “the circumstances are not the same. If it’s because of revenge, he should stay home.” He said on UTV’s United Showbiz.
