Germany-based midfielder, Rodrigo Zalazar has set his sight on working hard to merit a place in the Uruguay squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The player is currently contracted to Schalke 04 and is a key player for the team in the Bundesliga.
Speaking in an interview, Rodrigo Zalazar has said it will be a dream for him to be drafted into the Uruguay national team.
“For me it would be a dream to be able to play with the senior team. I am working and improving every day so that if one day the opportunity arises, I will be able to be the best prepared for that,” Rodrigo Zalazar has said in a recent interview.
The Schalke 04 attacking midfielder added, “I think that if I continue like this, one day the possibility of selection will come and you have to be prepared for that.”
Uruguay have been drawn in Group H of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The national team will face Portugal, South Korea, and Ghana in the group.
