The 2022/23 Futsal Premier League season in Ghana officially kicked off on Saturday, April 22.
The ceremonial kick-off was done by the President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt E.S Okraku.
The start of the maiden edition of the 2022/23 Futsal Premier League this weekend witnessed four matches being played in Zone One of the championship.
The 16 teams competing in the maiden edition have been put into two groups of eight teams to play in a League that would produce winners for the playoffs to determine the champions.
Chairman of the Futsal Committee Markwei Korley led his committee members and other top officials to kick start the League. They included Samuel Aboabire, Chairman of the Greater Accra Regional Football Association, Fred Tindan and Ebo Kwaitoo (Committee Members), and Referees Manager Alex Kotey.
The new 2022/23 Futsal Premier League promises great excitement with the Ghana FA stressing its commitment to growing the sport in the country.
