Vice Chairman of the Beach Soccer Committee, Yaw Gyamfi, expressed his gratitude to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for their support in launching the 2022/23 Beach Soccer League.
During the launch event held at the GFA Secretariat on Tuesday, Gyamfi noted that it had been a tough nine years for Beach Soccer in Ghana, with the sport only being active during the FA Cup in recent times.
However, with the support of the GFA, clubs are now raring to go for the upcoming season, which is set to kick off on the weekend of May 27-28, 2023.
‘’I would like to thank the GFA, especially the President and General Secretary Prosper Harrison, it’s been very tough for the past 9 years, we all know that in recent times Beach Soccer has not been active apart from the FA Cup,” he said.
“This time we are going to see a different league because we’ve been doing this for so many years now and this is the first time that the GFA is going to have the Beach Soccer League,” he added.
