Black Stars management committee member Alhaji Grusah claims Chris Hughton underrated Madagascar in the AFCON 2023 qualifier on Sunday.
The Black Stars were held to a goalless draw at the Stade Barea Mahamasina in Antananarivo by Madagascar in the penultimate AFCON qualifier.
This means Ghana will have to wait until the final game of Group E to seal their qualification to the AFCON next year.
After the game, Grusah asserted Hughton might have underrated Madagascar, hence the stalemate.
“If you're to assess a coach who wins one and drew two of the matches he has played, then definitely you will say he (Chris Hughton) is doing well”
“It's unfortunate we couldn't win against Madagascar, maybe the coach underrated them, but that is football and every results are possible” he said.
Despite the draw, Ghana remain top of the group with 9 points from five games with one more match to go in September against the Central African Republic in Kumasi.
