Ghana's Minister of Youth and Sports, Mustapha Ussif, has emphasized the importance of developing strategies to enhance the attractiveness of the Ghana Premier League.

Speaking at the 29th GFA Ordinary Congress in Kumasi, Ussif highlighted the need for concerted efforts by clubs to make the league more appealing to fans and stakeholders.

In his address, Ussif acknowledged that the Ghana Premier League has faced challenges in recent years, resulting in a decline in its appeal and competitiveness.

To address this issue, he urged clubs to adopt innovative approaches and implement strategies that would reinvigorate the league and capture the interest of football enthusiasts.

“Let us develop strategies to make our domestic league more attractive, competitive, and financially sustainable,” he admonished.

“The FA, Club owners and key stakeholders must invest in all aspects of the game to attract more fans, fill our stadiums, and regain our prominence in African club competitions."
