Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Fredrick Asare has reacted to his outfit comeback win over Aduana Stars on Sunday.

Asare kept the post when the Porcupine Warriors came from behind to snatch a 2-1 win against league leaders, Aduana Stars in week 27 of the Ghana Premier League.

The fire boys opened the scoring through Isaac Mintah who found the back of the net in the early stages of the much-anticipated clash at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Ugandan forward Steven Mukwala levelled the scores before Eric Zeze netted the winner as the Reds returned to winning ways and closed the gap on leaders Aduana Stars.

"Great comeback, sweet victory," wrote the goalkeeper on Twitter.

Asare, who joined Kotoko before the start of the 2022/23 season has made 12 appearances, keeping four clean sheet in the process.

At the moment, the club is yet to settle on their first choice goalkeeper between Danlad Ibrahim and Asare as the rotation policy continues.

Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko are now five points behind Aduana Stars as the race for the title intensifies.
