Ghana legend, Stephen Appiah is one of a few celebrities from Ghana that headlined the Philadelphia Eagles’ NFL draft pick watch party on April 29.
At an event hosted at the Bridgeview Resort in Akosombo, the retired Black Stars midfielder was joined by Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy to make history.
The musician entertained attendees of the event with an electric performance as they screened his 5th Dimension album.
As part of the Philadelphia Eagles NFL draft pick, Stephen Appiah had the honour to call out Ojomo Moro as the 249th pick of the NFL draft live from Ghana and broadcast to scores of Americans and numbers watching around the world.
Speaking on the sidelines of the watch party event, Stephen Appiah said he is lucky to have been chosen to headline the draft from Ghana.
“I call myself a lucky guy, because we have a lot of celebrities in Ghana. So I ask myself, ‘why Stephen Appiah?’, there must be a reason. Me announcing on this historic night, makes me very happy. I am honoured,” the Black Stars legend indicated.
